The Texas flag, also known as the Lone Star Flag, was introduced by William Wharton on December 28, 1838. It was adopted as the national flag of Texas on January 24, 1839. It became the state flag when Texas came into the Union on December 29, 1845.
The Texas flag is made up of two horizontal bars of even size. They are white and red. A vertical blue bar is located on the left side, which contains a single white star. White stands for purity, red stands for bravery, and blue represents loyalty.
The previous version of the banner was known as the Burnet Flag. The Texas flag is very similar to that of the nation of Chile.
