The Delaware Flag
The Delaware flag was officially adopted on July 24, 1913. The background is colored colonial blue. A buff colored diamond is located in the middle. These colors are similar to those used on George Washington’s uniform.
The coat of arms, adopted on January 17, 1777, is located in the center of the banner. This part of the Delaware flag depicts wheat, corn, and an ox. The date “December 7, 1787” is written at the bottom, which is the date Delaware ratified the US Constitution.
